Independent technology consulting...
Since 1996, I have been a self-employed networking and security consultant. My work is predominantly in the banking and manufacturing industries.
I bring value in many ways. Those institutions with a single IT person often need backup. For companies with no internal IT support, I bring the whole package to deal with the complexity and breath of information processing when regulated or highly distributed across the country.
Large IT shops do not have the bandwidth to employ a banking specialists with experience. I bring that. Growing companies don't have the experience working with remote locations across the country. I do. In short, I am perfectly suited to be a backup to an IT administrator, a mentor to an IT resource within your company, or the lead IT person for your organization.
Information Technology support requires knowledge of the following areas: networking, virtualization, security, FFIEC, GLBA, writing policy, risk assessments, disaster recovery, business continuity, independent audits, FDIC exams, remediation, wide-area networking and more. I understand how to run a network, implement Microsoft, Citrix, or VMware virtual platforms, and integrate to other core systems like GP, FIS Global, FISERV and custom platforms.
